Web Design / Print Production Artist

You will be working in the Creative Services Dept for a large corporation which serves many diverse clients in Entertainment and Education. Your primary function is to create high quality promotional and marketing materials for web and print as well as convert supplied assets into print ready files.

The position is an onsite Subcontractor position located at our offices on F. Ramos in Cebu City. The artist works closely with various Marketing and Web teams to create marketing materials for multiple brands and entities. The artist is responsible for the management of graphic art files for web and print including; concept, database population and content sourcing and data entry, file editing and design all within a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities include:
- Must be able to populate and manage files on our websites using WordPress and other CMS programs.
- Must ensure each project has all necessary components to ensure efficient flow through the print cycle.
- Must be able to work in a fasted pace environment, multitask, with attention to detail.
- Check, verify, and sight proof completed work for errors to ensure compliance with job specifications and client standards
- Assist with manual production when required (assembling mockups)
- Compose, retouch and recreate vector and raster artwork as needed
- The position requires innovation, compatibility and the willingness to perform other duties as assigned or requested.
- Experience with advanced Photoshop work including color matching, image editing and all masking techniques required.
- Experience with preflight of print files including, checking fonts, bleed, trim, resolution, size, etc. required.


Education / Experience / Training:
- Excellent customer service skills are required, including oral and written communications.
- 3 to 5 years experience in production art or related field
- Bachelors Degree in Graphics Production or related field preferred
- Proficiency in current software application as required to build print-ready files for prepress: CS4 Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, & In-Design
- Knowledge of print requirements, production workflow and prepress processes
- Knowledge of basic layout principles, aesthetic design concepts, branding, typography, color theory, die schematics and printer specs
- Knowledge of standard printing procedures, preflight practices, offset and flexographic printing standards (important)
